Early Career: Field to Field Manager

Dave Roberts, the current manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, had a successful playing career before transitioning to management. As a player, he spent ten seasons with five different teams, including the Padres and Indians.

From Outfield to Dugout

After retiring as a player, Roberts began his managerial career in the minor leagues. He managed the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and Albuquerque Isotopes before joining the Dodgers as a first base coach in 2015. In 2016, he was promoted to manager and has led the team to numerous successes, including a World Series title in 2020.
