Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin Prepare for WNBA Reunion: Aces vs. Fever

Former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates to face off in Las Vegas

Former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin will face off in the WNBA on Friday night when the Las Vegas Aces host the Indiana Fever.

Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, has been one of the most impressive rookies in the league this season.

The 6-foot-1 guard is averaging 17.0 points, 6.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Martin, a 6-foot-3 center, is averaging 8.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for the Fever.

The two players were teammates at Iowa for two seasons, helping the Hawkeyes to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.

Clark and Martin are both excited to face off against each other in the WNBA.

"It's going to be a lot of fun," Clark said. "I'm looking forward to competing against Kate again."

"It's going to be a great experience," Martin said. "I'm excited to see Caitlin play in the WNBA."

The Aces are currently the No. 1 team in the WNBA standings, while the Fever are in last place.

However, Clark and Martin are both confident that their teams can win on Friday night.

"We're playing really well right now," Clark said. "We're confident that we can beat anyone."

"We're going to give it our all," Martin said. "We're going to try to win the game."

The Aces and Fever will tip off at 10 p.m. ET on Friday night at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
